LEETONIA, Ohio (WKBN) – Leetonia returns their top scorers – Dylan Johns (10.5 ppg) and Dylan Brown (7.0 ppg) – along with senior Ethan Mathia (1.8 ppg, 2.0 rpg) to form a foundation that coach Michael Hein can build off on as they approach the 2025-26 season.
The team will also field a roster with lots of potential with a trio of juniors – Brayden Gainey, Jason King, Chase Bondi – and a sophomore wing Grayden Henderson in the mix for playing time this winter.
“We have a young group, with only one senior and limited roster numbers,” says Hein. “This team will be led by experienced backcourt (Mathia, Johns, Brown) with varsity experience; they can surprise some teams if things gel during the first part of the year.”
The Bears will meet Academy for Urban Scholars in their season opener.
