Snow chances through tonight
Through the mid-morning, we’ll see scattered flurries. A winter weather advisory is in effect from 9 am EST to 7 pm EST on Monday. This is due to a band of heavier snowfall that will sweep through the region this afternoon. This may bring a brief period of heavy/steady snowfall. There won’t be much in terms of travel impacts, as most roadways and soil temperatures are too warm for much accumulation. The main impact will be reduced visibility. Some elevated areas may see a dusting of snow. The best chance for meaningful snowfall will be east of I-75, where we may see 0.5″-1.0″ of snowfall. Also in this area, we could see elevated roadways or bridges becoming briefly slick. The impacts will be short-lived, and snow will clear by tonight.
Cold temperatures won’t
