Tarn Taran gears up for polling day tomorrow: All eyes on high-stakes by-election

Tarn Taran (Punjab), November 10, 2025: All eyes are on Tarn Taran, where polling for the high-stakes Assembly by-election will be held tomorrow (November 11). The contest promises to be multi-cornered, with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) vying for supremacy in this politically sensitive constituency.
The bypoll was necessitated following the death of AAP MLA Kashmir Singh Sohal earlier this year. Having won five of six bypolls since coming to power in March 2022, AAP is looking to retain its stronghold, while rival parties see Tarn Taran as an opportunity to regain ground.
