MARLINTON, W.Va. (WVDN) — The Pocahontas County Opera House will present Charlie Chaplin Silent Film Night on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at 7 p.m. The event features internationally renowned pianist, composer and arranger Tom Roberts performing his original score live to a collection of Chaplin’s classic silent films.
The evening includes three films from Chaplin’s early career, personally curated by Roberts. The program opens with The Rink, followed by The Pawn Shop, which Roberts introduces with special reflections on perception and how we see one another. The third film, Kid Auto Race at Venice, marks Chaplin’s first appearance as the iconic Tramp in a six-minute gem of silent-era comedy.
