A strong cold front moving through Monday evening will usher in Arctic air, bringing the coldest air mass of the season for New Jersey with wind chills in the teens.
“After a seasonably cool afternoon with highs in the upper-40s to mid-50s, temperatures will take quite the tumble tonight with lows dropping into the upper 20s and low-30s!,” the National Weather Service said early Monday. “Add in the wind and minimum wind chill values will crater into the upper-teens to low-20s!”
Monday will see lingering morning fog across eastern areas before a cold front passes through, bringing occasional light rain.
Temperatures will reach the 40s to low 50s under mostly cloudy skies before winds pick up from the west-northwest with gusts of 20 to 30 mph developing by late afternoon.
