MEMPHIS, Tenn. - While the Mid-South did not see any accumulating snow with our blast of winter air, parts of the FOX13 viewing area did see a few flurries flying on Monday morning.

Starting at around 9:30 a.m. Monday, FOX13 radar detected light snow flurries falling in Northern Mississippi. They moved south and quickly fizzled out just two hours later.

Despite this, there were several reports of flurry sightings in Alcorn and Benton counties.

There were also some snowflakes in Benton County, Tennessee, between Jackson and Nashville. Similar to Northern Mississippi, it was not enough to accumulate, but flakes nonetheless.

Further east heavier snow fell in the Gatlinburg area, and accumulation did occur in the Smoky Mountains. That part of Tennessee is under a Winter Storm Warning until
