KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — It's a widespread complaint in Knox County — there's often heavy traffic on I-40, and one section in particular backs up during rush hours.
Now, the Tennessee Department of Transportation is hosting a series of meetings to discuss what to do about the heavily-traveled corridor.
The first meeting is set for Monday, Nov. 10 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Farragut Community Center Assembly Hall.
These meetings are focused on the 17 miles between the I-40 and I-75 interchange in Loudon County and the I-640 interchange in Knox County, according to TDOT spokesperson Mark Nagi.
The next two meetings are set for Wednesday, Nov. 12 at the Pellissippi State Community College administration building and and Thursday, Nov. 13 at the City of Knoxville Public Works Service C
