FARRAGUT, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Transportation held its first of three public meetings on Monday night. The meetings are aimed at informing people about the West Knoxville Corridor project and the ongoing study for the 17-mile stretch from the I-40/I-75 Interchange to the I-640 Interchange.
Dozens of people attended the first meeting to learn updates and share their feedback on the project.
Joey Ruffalo has lived in Farragut for a few years. He moved from California and said he's seeing the same road issues he left that state for.
"We grow up too fast and then we can't sustain it and then cracks happen and then issues start and failures occur," he said. "It's gotten worse since we've gotten here. Very congested, very hard to drive in. Lots of traffic."
