TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — An 18-year-old from Titusville was identified as the passenger aboard a Carnival cruise ship who died over the weekend, ABC News reported.

Authorities were investigating the death of a passenger on the Carnival Horizon cruise ship that returned to Miami on Saturday.

Anna Kepner was identified as the 18-year-old who died on the cruise ship.

Kepner was a senior at Temple Christian School in Titusville.

"You were a bright, kind-hearted young woman whose presence brought warmth and energy into the classroom. Your curiosity, your gentle spirit, and the way you cared for those around you made a lasting impression on me and on everyone who knew you," Temple High School said in a post on Facebook.
