GREENSBORO, N.C. — One person was injured in a reported assault Monday in the 1400 block of Mayfair Avenue, authorities said.

Police said they received the call at 12:09 a.m., and Guilford County EMS said the patient was taken to a hospital. EMS said their injuries are life-threatening.

Officials have not released additional details. The investigation is ongoing.
