Kids Got Talent (KGT) returned for its sixth season Sunday at the Empire Theatre, drawing a crowd of more than 400 to cheer on 80 young performers showcasing song and dance routines before a judging panel.

Over its previous five seasons, KGT has raised more than half a million dollars for the Children’s Safety Village of Belleville (CSV).

Proud parents and supporters filled the theatre, applauding and encouraging each act throughout the afternoon.

Ben Quaiff was among them and was there to support his daughter.

“She’s always wanted to do something like this,” he said. “There’s a lot of pressure in the moment, but she’s always been passionate about singing. When we had the opportunity to audition this year, we decided to go for it.”
