NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Holy City Missions, a place that often offers people in the community a warm place to sleep when temperatures drop to dangerous levels, is preparing volunteer staff for the upcoming winter season.
New and returning volunteers can attend a training session on Tuesday night, where they will learn about the various staffing roles, safety, and how to reserve service nights.
The shelter typically opens as a warming center when overnight temperatures are forecast at 40 degrees or below.
Those interested in volunteering can RSVP for the training, which will be held on Nov. 11 at 6 p.m., by clicking here.
Holy City Missions is located at 1444 Remount Road in North Charleston.
