Ahead of what could be the first freeze of the season in North Texas overnight, emergency officials say families across the Metroplex must be prepared.
Following weeks that have felt like never-ending summer, a cold wind blew into Fort Worth on Sunday. NBC 5 spoke to people who were out in Sundance Square as the weekend cold front moved in.
“It’s cold out here, it’s windy and a little bit different than it was last week,” said Jordan Mann.
“We came prepared, we had scarves and everything,” said Dejah Colbert.
The National Weather Service said temperatures across North Texas could fall into the 30s by Monday morning, declaring a freeze warning for the DFW area until 9 a.m.
Emergency officials said that kind of cold could be dangerous for the unprepared.
