SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. —
A newborn baby boy was safely surrendered at a Spartanburg County, South Carolina, hospital under Daniel’s Law.
Officials with the Spartanburg Regional Health System in Spartanburg County accepted the infant safely Thursday, Nov. 6.
The white baby boy was born on Nov. 4, at the hospital, and weighed four pounds, one ounce, and was 16.1 inches long at the time of birth.
Under the Safe Haven for Abandoned Babies Act, Spartanburg County DSS took custody of the child, a medical evaluation was completed, and the infant will remain in the hospital to receive additional medical care.
A Permanency Planning Hearing and Termination of Parental Rights Hearing will be held on December 18 at 10:00 a.m. at the Spartanburg County Family Court, located at 180 Magnolia Stree
