ANSONIA, CT (WFSB) - A man was found dead in his home in Ansonia last week.

Police said they were called to 55-year-old Carlos Gonzalez’s home on Nov. 4 around 5:30 p.m. for a welfare check.

They arrived at the home on Prindle Avenue and found Gonzalez deceased.

He was the only one home at the time.

“At this time there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances regarding the death of the individual,” said Lt. Patrick Lynch, public information officer, Ansonia Police Department.

An autopsy was completed; however, police said the cause and manner of death are pending further studies.
