BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WFSB) - A Connecticut non-profit animal advocacy organization is asking for help in behalf of a dog in need.

“This is one of the worst cases of 2025 so far,” said the Bridgeport Animal Rescue Crew.

Animal control was contacted by an individual who saw a dog that was left abandoned in the Waterbury area.

On scene officers said they found a dog tied to a pole during the pouring rain over the weekend.

When officers arrived on scene they also noticed the “sweet” dog was in the process of giving birth.

At least one puppy who was stuck inside of the mother had died and there was another puppy beside her also passed away.
