ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - One person is in custody after running from police during the execution of search warrants, according to Roanoke County Police.

About 9 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2025, officers from the Roanoke County Police Department, along with Vinton Police, Roanoke Police, and state and federal authorities, executed multiple search warrants as part of an ongoing criminal investigation, police say.

During the execution of the warrant in Vinton, a male left the scene and entered a nearby business, according to police, who say officers contained the area and took the person into custody without incident.

Police say there is no ongoing threat to public safety related to this investigation.

Police have released no further information and have not named the business affected
