CHAPEL HILL — Bill Belichick set a record on homecoming weekend at UNC .
Roughly an hour after the Tar Heels earned a 20-15 victory against Stanford at Kenan Stadium, Belichick made his way to the lectern inside the Kenan Football Center for his postgame press conference.
“Thanks for your patience,” said Belichick, who stepped up to the microphone after three players answered questions from media members about UNC’s second straight ACC victory .
About 15 minutes into the press conference, the 73-year-old coach was answering what a UNC spokesperson said would be the last question. Belichick interjected and chose to spend about 12 more minutes with reporters.
“We got time for a couple of more, if you want,” Belichick said. “I know I’ve kept you hanging here, so I can go a little longer,
