Barrington officials are inviting residents to the annual Veterans Day celebration on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at Barrington Town Hall. The event honors local veterans and all who have served.

The ceremony will begin with remarks from Master of Ceremonies Chris Isleib, a retired U.S. Navy Captain. There will be a two-minute period of silence at 11:11 a.m.. Lieutenant Colonel Brian Carroll, U.S. Army (Ret.), will deliver the keynote address.

At 11:30 a.m., there will be the unveiling of the Grenada flag marker honoring Marine Corps First Lieutenant Jeffrey Scharver, a Barrington native who was killed in action.

At noon, an Honor Ruck will begin — a walk from Barrington Town Hall to Atria Bay Spring Village. Participants are encouraged to bring canned goods in their rucks/backpacks to
