Police are looking for the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash in Danbury on Sunday which left a pedestrian seriously injured.
The crash occurred on Main Street in the area of Patch Street where officers responded on the report of a car versus pedestrian accident around 5 p.m., according to the Danbury Police Department .
Emergency crews found a pedestrian lying on the side of the road suffering from serious injuries, police said. The injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Police said the driver who was involved left the scene before officers arrived. The vehicle is believed to be a light colored sedan with front end damage which was last seen heading north on Main Street before turning right onto North Street, according to police.
