DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WFIE) - An investigation into a fire in Daviess County is underway after a home was destroyed Sunday.
Officials with the Daviess County Fire Department say crews were called to the 3300 block of Reid Road around 4:10 p.m.
When they arrived, crews say smoke and flames could be seen coming out of the attic, and a second crew was called.
Firefighters began fighting the fire, but officials say due to high winds and a lack of a sufficient water supply needed for the fire size, the fire spread to the rest of the home.
Crews were on scene for about 8 hours in an effort to control the fire.
