MUNCIE, IN — In the final months of each year, the first appearance of snow — even a comparatively small amount of snow — seems to result in chaos on Muncie streets and Delaware County roads.
Monday, Nov. 10, was no exception.
According to Jeff Stanley, chief deputy for the Delaware County Sheriff's Department, between about 6 a.m. and noon on Monday, local law enforcement agencies had responded to more than 50 property damage crashes.
Emergency medical personnel were called to six of those 53 crashes to check on the conditions of those involved.
In addition, Delaware County and Muncie saw six crashes that resulted in personal injuries.
According to the National Weather Service, there is a chance of additional snow flurries on Tuesday. The temperature on Wednesday is expected to reach
