Denver Broncos star linebacker Alex Singleton was recently diagnosed with testicular cancer and underwent successful surgery on Friday, he announced today.
In a statement shared on his Instagram account, Alex Singleton announced that he was diagnosed with testicular cancer shortly after a random drug test for the NFL. Singleton played in Thursday night’s home win over the Las Vegas Raiders before undergoing successful surgery the following day.
Fortunately, Singleton said the prognosis is “great” as it was detected early. Singleton said he expects to resume playing “in the coming weeks” and thanked everyone who helped him during the concerning process:
