SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) -- The Savannah Arts Academy (SAA) cross country teams each placed at the state championship.

SAA girls wone their third state title Monday in Carrollton.

Steve Ricciardi, the SAA cross country coach says he believes this is the first time a Savannah high school girls cross country team -- from either a public or private high school -- has taken a state championship.

The boys' cross country team made history too. After winning the region championship last weekend, they made the podium placing fourth at the state meet.
