The California Highway Patrol is in pursuit of a driver in a stolen vehicle that is heading south toward San Diego County

The pursuit started Monday morning in Ventura County where authorities were following a woman in a gray Toyota Sienna minivan. The chase then went through L.A. and Orange counties, eventually making it to San Juan Capistrano at around 12:15 p.m.

According to the CHP, the car was stolen in Moorpark at 10:35 a.m. By 12:40, the minivan had made it down the Las Pulgas Road in Camp Pendleton. At about that time, NBC 4's chopper turned around and headed back north, while NBC San Diego's SkyRanger 7 helicopter flew northwest to intercept the pursuit.
