On Nov. 6, former Oregon Coast Military Museum Director Geoffrey Cannon , 27, pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl who worked as a volunteer at the museum from 2024-2025.

In July, Cannon was indicted on four counts of second-degree sexual abuse for having both oral and sexual intercourse with the teen.

Cannon pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree sexual abuse and requested the other counts be dismissed as part of a plea agreement with the Lane County District Attorney's Office.
