HENDERSON, Ky. (WEVV) — The Henderson Police Department announced that retired Chief Jason Hargitt has returned to the force as the new School Resource Officer at Holy Name School.
Hargitt began his career with the Henderson Police Department in 2000, rising to the rank of lieutenant and interim chief before retiring in 2020.
Following his retirement, Hargitt served as a School Resource Officer at South Middle School for the Henderson County Sheriff's Office and later moved to the Henderson Public Library.
The department expressed pride in welcoming an officer with Hargitt's experience and dedication back to serve the students, staff, and families of Holy Name School.
