FOND DU LAC, Wis. -- A Menesha man was found guilty after setting a fire at Rep. Glenn Grothman's office last January.
Caiden Stachowicz, 20, was found guilty of arson. He faces a maxiumum penalty of 25 years in prison, and 15 years of extended supervision, and a fine of up $100,000. Stachowicz's original charges of a ttempt burglary-building or dwelling, and criminal damage to property were dismissed and read-in.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for March 5.
This comes after a criminal complaint filed in Fond du Lac County, officers responding to the fire at Grothman's office on North Peters Ave. found Stachowicz standing by his vehicle.
