MANSFIELD, Pa. (WETM) — The Mansfield Municipal Authority has been awarded a grant from the Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) to improve its water meters and reading system.

Mansfield Borough announced on Monday, Nov. 10, that the Mansfield Municipal Authority was given a grant, which is funded by SRBC, to upgrade its water meters and meter reading system. Kentrel Corp is also working with the borough during the upgrade project, Mansfield Borough noted.

If residents get a call from Kentrel Corp asking about the size of water pipes, Mansfield said that people should be aware that this is not a scam and that it's part of the upgrade process.
