SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Shreveport police are investigating a shooting where the victim was allegedly related to the man who pulled the trigger.

Officers with the Shreveport Police Department responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the 9200 block of Biddle Drive shortly after midnight on November 4, 2025.

Upon arrival, they found a male victim lying on his right side, with a towel wrapped around his left thigh to stem the bleeding.

During their investigation, patrol officers encountered 21-year-old Jaylon Bell as he walked away from the scene.

Bell admitted to shooting his cousin, and authorities found him in possession of the firearm allegedly used in the incident.
