FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Fort Wayne’s Winter Contingency Plan offers options for people looking for shelter and warming center options this winter.
The plan’s expanded overnight shelter services will operate from December 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026, with warming stations opening earlier as weather conditions require.
Those seeking overnight shelter can find assistance at three locations: The Rescue Mission (404 E. Washington Blvd.); St. Joseph Missions Women’s Shelter (3505 Lake Ave.); and Just Neighbors (2925 E. State Blvd.).
Several warming centers will also be available this winter, including:
The Rescue Mission
Seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. with meals offered at 7 a.m., noon, and 5 p.m.
