MANSFIELD, Pa. (WETM) – Mansfield's Hometown Hero banners have made a reappearance in the borough just before Veterans' Day, after the original banners were removed a few years ago due to wear.
On Friday, Nov. 7, crews from Tri-County Rural Electric Cooperative (REC) and Tri-Co Connections (TCC) came together to assist the Hometown Heroes Banner Organization in Mansfield by hanging up new banners throughout the community, as stated in a release from the utility company.
The replacement of the banners comes after the Chamber Director decided to take the originals down in 2022, due to the damage caused by the weather, which compromised the purpose of the banners to begin with.
