Edmonton police are looking for witnesses after a woman was allegedly struck by a police vehicle on 97 Street in late October.
The Edmonton Police Service says around 7:05 p.m. on Oct. 27, officers were on a call for service and were travelling south on 97 Street heading toward 115 Avenue when a woman reportedly tried to cross the intersection and was hit by the police vehicle.
Police say the woman was not in a marked crosswalk, and was instead crossing the south side of 97 Street underneath a designated pedestrian overpass at 115 Avenue.
The officers immediately stopped and called EMS and provided first aid to the woman until paramedics arrived. She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, where she remains.
Speed is not believed to be a factor.
