Police are looking for witnesses after a woman was struck while crossing an intersection in north central Edmonton last month.

Just after 7 p.m. on Oct. 27, Edmonton police were on a service call travelling southbound on 97 Street approaching the intersection at 115 Avenue when a police cruiser struck a 29-year-old woman, said police in a Monday news release.

Police said the woman wasn’t at a marked crosswalk at the time of the collision and was crossing the south side of 97 Street underneath a designated pedestrian overpass at 115 Avenue.

Officers immediately stopped, called emergency crews and applied first aid to the woman. Emergency crews arrived on scene and treated and transported the woman to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
