SARASOTA, Fla. ( WWSB ) - Regional cold-weather shelters will open Monday, November 10, and again Tuesday, November 12, in Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte counties as temperatures drop, according to county emergency officials.

Salvation Army, Center of Hope, 1400 10th St., Sarasota, will operate Monday, Nov. 10, 2025. Intake starts at 4:40 p.m.

Dinner is 5–5:30 p.m., after which guests must leave campus. Shelter entry resumes at 7 p.m., with showers available 7–8:30 p.m. A valid ID is required at check-in.

Breakfast will be provided to-go, and guests must depart by 6 a.m.

Breeze Routes 2, 7, 8, and 99 stop within about two blocks. More transit info is available at scgov.net/breeze; the Breeze Rider app can be used to check arrivals and plan routes.
