HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) - Students and staff will soon see a familiar face around the hallways in Henderson.
The police department announced retired chief Jason Hargitt has returned as School Resource Officer for Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School.
Officials say he started his career with the Henderson Police Department in 2000.
He retired twenty years later and continued his service as an SRO at South Middle School working for Henderson County Sheriff’s Office.
“We are proud to have an officer with his years of experience and dedication returning to the department and serve the students, staff, and families of Holy Name School,” says HPD on Facebook.
