It didn’t take long for one of St. Lawrence College’s new programs to attract the interest of a prospective student.

Stacey Lauzon was taking part in the Cornwall campus’s annual fall open house with the goal of learning more about the new bachelor of commerce: social innovation and entrepreneurship.

Lauzon was able to connect with Jennifer Haley, dean of interdisciplinary studies and pathways and the Cornwall campus. The pair talked for several minutes about the program, which will be launched in the near future.

Lauzon said she is eyeing the possibility of upgrading her skills after she graduated with distinction last year in Cornwall’s business/accounting program . She managed to land a position with a local manufacturing company.
