GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas — A husband and wife are dead following an apparent murder-suicide over the weekend, police said.
According to the Grand Prairie Police Department, officers were dispatched to a home in the 400 block of East Tarrant Road for a welfare check. Relatives told police they had not heard from the couple for an extended period of time.
When officers arrived, they found a woman with a gunshot wound and a man with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said. GPPD said both adults, whose relatives identified as married, were pronounced dead at the scene.
GPPD said it is investigating the incident as a family violence murder-suicide.
