LOGAN — A 24-year-old Hyde Park man has admitted to trying to share child sexual abuse material through a social media app. Luke Hylton Harris was arrested in August 2024 after police served a warrant to his place of employment.
According to court records, Harris appeared Oct. 29 in Logan’s 1 st District Court. He accepted a plea deal, pleading guilty to two counts of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor, amended to a third-degree felony.
According to prosecutors, the Logan City Police Department received a cyber-tip in June 2024, claiming Harris had uploaded several pornographic photos of young girls to a Snapchat account. The tip had been relayed to police from the Utah Attorney General’s Office.
