ROCKFORD, Ill. (WREX) — The Rockford Rescue Mission is marking National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, while working to ensure their residents have the resources they need.
The week encourages people to donate to help care for their community members facing homelessness and the Rockford Rescue Mission is also adding to the emphasis with the holidays coming up.
This also comes as the mission said their shelter has continued to be over capacity and with their annual holiday celebrations just weeks away.
