A Sparks man has been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty in a child pornography case.

The Washoe County District Attorney's Office says Donald Karr II was arrested by Sparks Police in 2024, after the 10-year-old victim found a hidden camera in a shared bathroom that she and the 12-year-old victim used.

Prosecutors say he also had previously placed a cell phone in two separate bathrooms to record the children.

The DA's office says he pleaded guilty to Using or Permitting a Minor Under 14 to be the Subject of a Sexual Portrayal in a Performance and Possessing Pornography of a Person Under 16.

He will be eligible for parole after 12 years.
