GILMAN, Ill. (WCIA) -- Parts of Iroquois County got nearly 10 inches of snow heading into Monday, with Beaverville getting ten inches, Gilman getting eight and Watseka getting seven.

"This is probably the most snow we've had around here in a while," said Bill Price, owner of B&R Coins in Gilman. "I had drifts in my driveway that I haven't had in two years."

Price is also a retired snow plow driver of 20 years. He said when he first left the house, the roads were treacherous.

"I was on Route 45 for about two miles, which was terrible," Price said. "Then took 24 from Gilman to Watseka, wasn't much better."

But, the roads weren't the only things giving people problems in the heavy snow. Gary Pugh, a Gilman resident, said he had been clearing snow for an hour when his snowblower started to
