Today marks 11 years since a Bessem­er mother was found murdered inside her home, a case that remains unsolved.

Whitney Burr, the daughter who made the heartbreaking discovery, says she is still searching for answers.

“I really hate she can’t be here to experience everything with us…” Burr said.

On Nov. 10, 2014 , Whitney found her mother, 35-year-old Lesley Woodman, dead inside their home on Batton Road.

“It’s haunted me for a very long time and will continue to do so,” Whitney said.
