BRANFORD, Fla. (WCJB) - The Branford community is grieving the loss of 19-year-old Cloey Criggall, a former star softball player, team leader and friend known for her bright spirit.

Cloey graduated from Branford High School last year. She was a standout on the field and a role model off of it.

“I think everybody who knows her is feeling the pain from this right now. She was something special.”

Cloey, a 19-year-old scholar athlete and softball standout, died Sunday afternoon in a crash along Interstate 10 in Gadsden County.

Cloey’s high school coach says her work ethic and heart made her unforgettable.

“I’m so proud of her of who she became but, you know, what hurts the most is that, you know, she worked so hard, she told me all of her dreams, all of her goals and she reached them. She
