CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - If you're driving through the neighborhoods in Clovis near Peach and Gettysburg, you might pass by what's being called the "Pico Pantry."

"I'm blessed. I have enough. I have more than enough. I went through my pantry, and I said, 'What are we not using? What are we not eating right now?'" the woman behind the pantry said.

She's not a part of a food bank, or a charity, or a church, or any other non-profit.

She's Sandra Chavez, and she's trying to make a difference.

"We've had a lot of comments. A lot of people saying that they didn't have a car, they couldn't go to the food banks, they were walking by with their little wagons or in wheelchairs and actually picking up food," Chavez said.
