PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A Portland man and his wife are looking for help after a specialty wheelchair was stolen from their home.

David Staley suffered a traumatic brain injury after a car accident and relies on the wheelchair to get around.

Staley and his wife, Angela Patterson, say they bought the chair with their own money after insurance wouldn’t pay for a new one.

Then last week, that wheelchair was stolen off of their porch.

Patterson says that Staley can’t leave the house or do the things he loves most without the wheelchair.

The couple has started a fundraiser and have almost reached their goal.
