BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Monday night the Bangor city Council met for their first regularly scheduled meeting since last week’s election.

Counselors welcomed new members Angela Walker, Susan Faloon, and Daniel Carson.

The hot topic of the meeting was the resolution that would prevent participants from being able to speak over Zoom at council meetings.

A couple residents spoke out against the resolution at the meeting, saying that it would impact people who want to be present but can’t be due to other circumstances.

One person suggested pre-registration for anybody that wants to speak during the council meetings over Zoom going forward.

The resolution passed, but only after an amendment was added to it.
