Another person has been sentenced for their role in a drug ring that brought marijuana to the Cedar Valley from California, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 27 year old Jonathan Reins has been sentenced to 20 years and 10 months in federal prison on charges of Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance and Conspiracy to Commit Money Laundering. Reins moved from Waterloo to California where he legally bought marijuana and other THC products and sent them back to Waterloo to be sold. His prison time will be followed by eight years of supervised probation. He must also pay more than $400,000 in fines. Several others involved in the drug ring have also been sentenced.
