STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — When driving on Staten Island, it’s important to be ready for anything. At any given moment, another driver can do something completely unexpected and almost cause a crash.

One Staten Island driver saw this happen first-hand as their dash cam recently caught a near-collision in New Dorp.

The footage, submitted to the Advance/SILive.com, shows a vehicle approaching an all-way stop at the intersection of Tysens Lane and Cranford Avenue during the evening rush hour on Tuesday, Oct. 21.

A white sedan can be seen waiting for its turn at the all-way stop — blocking the crosswalk — while the dash cam-equipped vehicle approaches the intersection.
