OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) - The Oshkosh Common Council is expected to vote Tuesday on the city’s proposed 2026 budget plan. The council meets at 6 p.m. at City Hall.
The plan recommends a flat tax levy of $7.73, which is nearly 50 cents less than the current rate.
If the council passed the budget plan as-is, homeowners could see their annual property taxes go down. For example, an owner of a $250,000 home would pay around $1,900 instead of $2,000.
The city is also proposing to cut funds for the Oshkosh Area Humane Society .
